Just some of the options for recycling in the Emmer Green area are listed below. There will undoubtedly be others, and suggestions for adding to the list are always welcome. Click here to inform us of further options you may know of.

As well as accepting household waste, the Household Waste and Recycling Centre site in Island Road has extensive recycling facilities. Click here to locate it on a map.

re3 is the name given to the project initiated by the partnership of Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham Councils working with Waste Recycling Group to deliver state of the art waste management services and facilities. For detailed information on recycling throughout these areas and tips for reusing items, visit www.re3.org.uk.

For detailed information about composting and tips on what can be composted, please visit visit www.recyclenow.com/compost/.

Thanks to Jenny Leach for bringing the Freecycle scheme to our attention. This seems to be a very useful way of finding a good home for items that you are happy to offer for free.
